My writing for today is about LibraryLink. It is a service that provides links to articles about libraries. Sometimes the articles are quite interesting. Today's link is about a town in the states that is toying with the possibility of going private with their library.

I think that possibility is shocking even more so is it wouldn't be the first library system in the states to do so. The loss of benefits to library workers is one of many things to be nervous about but the cost of such things is why they are thinking of going private.

My main concern is the library charging for services. The poorer may not be able to afford the service. When you are just scrapping by every dollar counts. Instead of going to the library they may just do without.

In Canada some public libraries charge a user fee. From what I have heard these are usually based in Alberta which the tax system is different then the rest of the country. I think the main reason is the provincial government doesn't provide as much funding as it should.

To help going back to school in the fall I plan to write in my blog every day. It will help with my writing and speed up my typing which needs to be at 45 words per minute.

The only trouble is what to write about each day. Thinking about what to write usually gives me a writers block. Like right now I can't think of a single thing to write about.

Oh I know, Translink has a surplus of money. Which I think they should spend the money buying more buses for Surrey and Delta. Since at times there seems to be a lack of them. Not that I need to worry about taking buses in Surrey as much as before. I plan to walk to work tonight and then take the bus back. Then tomorrow I plan to walk both ways.

Walking to work will hopefully will help me lose some weight.
